Collection: John James Audubon

John James Audubon was an ornithologist, artist, and naturalist who became particularly well known for his drawings and paintings of North American birds. 

Robert Havell, Jr., was a landscape painter and printmaker who engraved many of the plates for John James Audubon’s four-volume The Birds of America (435 hand-coloured plates, 1827–38).
